Faces, edges and corners

Counting the faces, edges and corners (vertices) of cubes, prisms and pyramids, telling solids that roll from ones that don't, and naming a solid from clues.

How to help

A face is a flat side, an edge is where two faces meet, a corner is where edges meet. Dashed lines are the edges at the back: count them too.

Watch for: Counting only the faces you can see, not the ones at the back. Counting an edge twice where two faces share it. Calling a cone's point an edge.

At home: Find a cereal box and a can. Count the faces, edges and corners of each, and see which one rolls.
