Find the tallest first and write 1 under it. The shortest gets 3, and the one left gets 2. Check that the heights go down step by step.
Watch for: Starting at the wrong end and writing 1 under the shortest. Giving two things the same number. Judging length by thickness instead of where the right ends reach.
At home: Line up three shoes, spoons or stuffed toys from biggest to smallest. Mix them up and let your child put them back in order.
