What an angle is: a turn between two rays, measured in degrees. A full turn is 360°, so a quarter turn is 90°.

Think of turning around a point. A full turn is 360°, a half turn 180°, a quarter turn 90°. Angles smaller than a square corner are acute; wider ones are obtuse.
Watch for: Mixing up a quarter turn (90°) and a half turn (180°). Judging an angle by how long its rays are drawn. Calling an angle obtuse just because it is tilted.
At home: Stand up and turn together: a quarter turn, a half turn, a full turn. Say the degrees for each.
