Put an X above the matching mark for each measurement. Count X's to answer how-many questions. For longest minus shortest, subtract the two fractions.
Watch for: Putting an X on the wrong mark, like 3/8 on 3/4. Missing a measurement, or plotting one twice. Subtracting both tops and bottoms when finding longest minus shortest.
At home: Measure a few pencils or crayons to the nearest eighth inch, then plot them together on a line drawn on paper.
