Line up the decimal points. Compare the ones, then the tenths, then the hundredths. Adding a 0 helps: 0.6 is the same as 0.60, so it's more than 0.58.

Watch for: Thinking 0.58 is more than 0.6 because 58 is more than 6. Thinking a decimal with more digits is always bigger. Mixing up the > and < signs.
