Tenths take one place after the decimal point, hundredths take two. 6/100 is 0.06: the 0 holds the tenths place.

Watch for: Writing 6/100 as 0.6 instead of 0.06. Writing 184 cents as $18.4 instead of $1.84. Counting ticks instead of spaces between 0 and 1 on the number line.
At home: Read prices together: $2.45 is 2 dollars and 45 hundredths of a dollar. Then write a few cent amounts, like 305 cents, as dollars.
