How to help

Touch each picture once as you say one number. The last number you say tells how many. One more than a number is the next counting number.

Watch for: Saying the numbers faster or slower than their finger moves. Touching one picture twice, or skipping one. Counting again when asked how many, instead of giving the last number said.

At home: Count toys into a basket together, one number per toy. Ask how many, then add one more: how many now?
