Join the dots in order, from 1 to 10.
Counting in order
Saying the counting numbers in order. Your child joins the dots from 1 to 10 (or 20), and a picture appears when the numbers are in the right order.
How to help
Find 1, then say each next number out loud before drawing to it. When the last dot is joined, draw back to 1 to close the picture.

Watch for: Jumping to the nearest dot instead of the next number. Mixing up 6 and 9, or skipping from 12 to 14.
At home: Count steps on the stairs or toys into a box, saying each number as you go. Stop and ask what comes next.
