Number Sense
- MA.1.a
Say the counting numbers from 1 to 20 in order, with none skipped or mixed up.
- MA.1.b
Count up to 10 things, one number for each, and know the last number said tells how many.
- MA.1.c
Tell how many are in a small group, up to 5, at a glance without counting.
- MA.1.d
Name written numbers from 1 to 10 and match a number up to 5 to a group that size.
Number Relationships and Operations
- MA.2.a
Compare two small groups as more, fewer or the same, and add or take away with up to 6 objects.
Measurement
- MA.3.a
Compare things as bigger, longer or heavier, and line a few up from smallest to biggest.
- MA.3.b
Sort things into groups by one or more features, like color, size or shape.
- MA.3.c
Spot, copy and continue simple AB patterns of colors, shapes or sizes.
Geometry
- MA.4.a
Name circles, squares, triangles and rectangles of any size or turn, and use shapes to make pictures.
- MA.4.b
Use and follow position words like under, next to, inside and around.
