Think about what makes the shape: how many sides and corners, straight or round. Draw it, then count the sides and corners to check.
Watch for: Leaving a gap, so the lines don't join up. Adding an extra side, so a 3-sides clue gets 4. Drawing the big and the small shape the same size.
At home: Make shapes with straws, craft sticks or string, then draw them. Ask how many sides and corners each one has.
