Watch for: Calling a cube a square, or a ball a circle. Thinking a picture of a block is flat because it's on paper. Choosing by color or size instead of whether it could be held.
At home: Collect a box, a can, a ball and a sheet of paper. Sort them into solid and flat, then trace around the box to draw a flat shape.
