Skip counting

How to help

Find the step: look at two numbers next to each other and see how much they grow. Keep adding that step to fill each gap.

• skip-countcount by jumps of the same size

Watch for: Counting by the wrong step after a gap. Going wrong where a hundred is crossed: by tens, after 190 comes 200. Starting from 0 instead of the number shown.

At home: Count nickels by 5s and dimes by 10s. Then start at a number like 135 and skip-count together.
