Watch for: Moving the wrong number of counters, so the frame isn't exactly 10. Forgetting the leftover part after making ten: 9 + 7 = 10. Counting on from the smaller number and losing count.
At home: Use an egg carton with two cups cut off as a ten frame. Put in 8 buttons, add 5 more, and see how filling the ten helps.
